2003, Shawn Carter better known as Jay Z purchased just one-fifteenth of the Brooklyn Net basketball organization for $1 Million dollars. Even with his small share he quickly became the front face of the team handling their big move into the brand new Barclays Center. Jay Z was the one responsible for the logo update as well as the new color scheme the Nets would be rocking. the iconic black and white.
In 2013 Jay Z decided he wanted more than what he was getting. He put in $1 Million dollars which in return was really worth about $350,000. He decided to sell his share of the team to open up Roc Nation Sport Management. He no longer wanted to be partial owner of a team he wanted more than that. His Vision lead him to Robinson Cano at the time when signed with Jay Z and Roc Nation was the highest paid MLB player.
Jay Z continued his greatness and started taking professional sports by storm adding major name players in every sport like. Rudy Gay, Skylar Diggins- Smith, Todd Gurley, Kevin Durant, Robinson Cano.
Shawn Carter (Jay Z) went from selling drugs as a Teen in New Yorks rough streets to music module to now owner of one of the biggest sports agencies this decade has seen!
